Probably at the lowest settings. Skyrim I'm not sure on though -- it's pretty brutal.

ArmA 3 isn't out yet, and won't be until the end of the year. So no way to say for certain.

But considering ArmA 2's requirements, which is still a DirectX 9 game, and benefits from very High CPU speeds (Single And Dual Core, no Quad core support, in other words it can run with Quad cores, but won't see much performance increase from it). ArmA 3 will use DirectX 10/11 support and properly be a Windows Vista/7/8 Supporting Game.

I currently play ArmA 2, and have for the last year and half, I also played ArmA before that.

Your CPU, and Graphics are just too Weak to run the game effectively.

You probably could run the game, but you'd have to run at minimal settings.

And With ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 you'll want view distance jacked up as much as possible (greater view distance = Greater GPU Processing, and with AI and Physics Processing of Terrain, Environment, Units, etc, you'll want greater CPU Speed as well).

I currently run ArmA 2 at almost all Normal (Stock) settings, with a few things tweaked to enhance that. I have to turn of Post Processing Visual Effects to maintain my Framerates online above 25fps (usually between 25-40fps) at my monitors native 1080p Resolution, if Drop to 720p, the image quality suffers and it gets a hazy out of focus effect which ruins the game play.

I also usually have my view distance set to at least 5000 Meters distance or more, since I fly aircraft in the game quite often, have gotten quite adept with the jets and attack choppers. When on ground, as long as your not firing long distance weapons, the view distance can be less.

But then again, there aren't too many long distance weapons on ground that you'd need a long view distance for. since most of those, MLRS and Artillery, you end up using the Firing Computer function for anyways.

Aside from Anti Aircraft guns, and Missiles, and needing to visually see attacking enemy aircraft at a distance, is about only thing you need longer view distance for on ground.

Out of all those games above, ArmA 3 will probably be the worst running of all of them with your hardware.

Unless by a miracle Bohemia Interactive has finally made a game 99.9% free of bugs, and and a highly optimized and scalable game engine, there's no way ArmA 3 will run smoothly on that laptop.

Best thing I can suggest is save up now, for a new system, desktop, with at least a 3GHz Core i3 or i5 Dual Core (or even Core i5/i7 Quad core), a $200 range GPU, and at least 4GB of DDR3 RAM.

as to the other games, it should run them, but I can't imagine it'd run at decent playable settings with good frame rates, Skyrim might run ok at lower settings, MW3 might as well, not sure on BF3, it might run just playable at lower settings.

No Lag, is out of the question. Little Lag, most definitely.

    If this is your laptop: Amazon.com: HP Pavilion g7-1365dx Laptop - AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon HD 6520G dedicated graphics - 4GB DDR3 SDRAM - 17.3" LED-backlit high-definition display (1600 x 900) - 640GB hard drive (5400 rpm) - Microsoft Wi

Your also running a slower 5400RPM hard drive, its usually best to be running a 7200RPM Drive that can read faster, for games needing frequent Drive accessing like Skyrim and some others.

shy guy im not sure what laptop to get. i paid 450 plus tax which is almost 500 for this laptop. the laptop you looked up is the same model besides the fact that mine has 500gb and not 640. i want to return this laptop and maybe get somthing better. i also have another laptop being shipped to the store but i think im going to have to return that one to, so i can afford a better gaming laptop.

There is NO laptop that will run these games with no problems at all with in your price range. (if your range is around $500)

What your not getting is that laptops SUCK for gaming period, at least any real gaming.

For a top end laptop for "gaming" you will end up paying double or more than what it would cost for a comparable performance Desktop PC. in which case, if your going to spend that much, get a desktop with 50% to double, or more performance.

and like I said, ArmA 3 won't be out until the Winter, so all one can do is speculate on what it will need to run good.

The current game is pretty buggy with hardware, what runs good on one persons system may run like crap on an almost identical system with minor differences.

its a great game (ArmA 2), but its not all that reliable and consistent in performance from one system to the other.

as to recommendations for hardware, no one can really suggest anything until we had a budget on what you have to spend.

Another thing with the ArmA series, unlike BF3 and others, its a Sim game, so it has TONS of support for various addons like Track IR, Various flight control sticks, controllers, and other hardware. multiple monitor support, etc.

Making a Laptop counter productive for its use. ArmA series can be played like BF3 in its most basic forms, but it depends on the servers, mods and add ons used, missions and maps used, and even the general rules enforced by the server admins/gaming groups running the servers.

Some take ArmA series VERY seriously and even have rankings with in their clans, and promotions and demotions as well as penalties based on real world Rules of Engagement and following orders, etc.

our server we run is less strict and more laid back, played more like BF3, but we do expect cooperative Team play and no lone wolf Rambo game play unless its only one of us in there with a stranger or your by yourself.

also don't tolerate hogging and dumping of aircraft, which some noobs like to do, take a chopper and get shot down, respawn, take another get shot down, etc, till there is none left and we have to wait upwards of a half hour before new ones respawn so one of us that actually knows how to use them can use them. Luckily me and one of the other admins run a mod that lets us do various "things" like call in various artillery strikes and wipe out entire towns in one bombing if things get sticky due to no vehicles to assist us. Also provides us with Unlimited ammo, and Ghost mode... amongst other things (teleport... anyone?)

as it sucks to have to huff it 20KM across a map with no vehicles or aircraft, and parachuting from Jump Flags to 1000-2000M above an area, then open chute, float down, and then hike it in, can take an eternity. Assuming someone didn't set up a Mobile respawn unit near the objective. Myself I currently use the Mouse and Keyboard for almost everything, and a Logitech Control pad (PS2 Style controller) for all my Aircraft controls, and some keyboard keys for extra controls on aircraft, I also use my 4th mouse button for ejecting from aircraft (double tap to eject). I'd be using my Saitek Flight stick/throttle setup, but I don't have the room for it.
