Looking for an excellent gaming mouse.

    The title is a bit of an over-simplifications;

I'm looking for a mouse with very specific details.

I've found plenty of seemingly excellent mice online, but I haven't found a perfect one.

Recently my Logitec something-or-other has been getting out of control at random times,

but I want a mouse with similar features that won't let me down.

The features I am looking for are:

    - Wireless ( with USB connector )

    - AA Batteries ( these mice have amazing battery life / no charging necessary )

And that's pretty much it, besides being somewhat affordable, and not insanely crazy.

What's your budget? The Logitech G700 may be good for you.

yeah besides that mouse is over rated my friends on my gaming team use them and returned them in less than a week. too primitive. I use the Microsoft SideWinder X8. now thatr is a gaming mouse. Now I know you want something with double AAs but for a rechargeable mouse its pretty damn good.
Play and Charge - Up to 30 hours of active gaming on a single charge, or use the play-and charge cable for non-stop action.
BlueTrack Technology - World¿s most advanced tracking technology for gaming with image processing of 13,000 frames per second.
2.4 GHz Wireless - Built for lag-free play.
DPI Switching - Instantly switch sensitivity between high, medium, and low with one click.
7 Programmable Buttons - Customize 5 programmable main buttons, plus left/right tilt, to your preference.

or if you really do want one uses Double AAs go for the Logitech M750 in my opinion has alot of features for gaming down side is it is track ball but that is good for RTS gaming and certain MMORPG

A note about a wireless mouse... I had to move the receiver closer to the mouse using a USB extension cord. When it was plugged directly into the computer things would get erratic every now and then... Probably interference or something... who knows... or cares.

You might try that if your current mouse is wireless.

I plugged my reciever into the ports on the top-front of my computer and everything seems to be going fine right now, but I can't be too sure because the last time I had this problem was between a period of about three months - so I'll hold onto this mouse and see if the problem has been solved or not; thanks.
