Been playing it...something doesnt feel right with it. Doesn't feel like CS at all. You can go from CS to CS:S and know its the same, but this feels just ... off.

your steam name doesn't come up at all when I do a search for it.
I even looked at KK's entire list of friends and couldn't find it added.
Mine is ShazMX6, only hit for that name when doing a player search, so should show up online.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

My bad, yea thats my profile. I don't really use Steam much to actually communicate so forgot how it works. AngryKoolAid is definitely mine though, and if it changes, it will go to SoloCamo if anything
Played a bit more after my initial post and I'm starting to like it. I think to be honest the first few rounds I played I was playing with some crappy players that seemed to rip the fun out of it. Swapped servers and get some Office going with a good team and it was good fun.
Game is a breeze to run maxed out, too (16x CSAA as well). Rarely ever under 100fps unless in big firefights.
Game does take advantage of quad cores though, in fact my FX got hotter than it's been in a while (53*c) while gaming on it. At what point 5 out of the 8 cores were at about half use so it seems to be threaded decently enough.
Off the next two days so I'm hopefully going to get some more game time in

There are already quite a few out. I was in a zombie mod server yesterday for a bit. (didn't really like it) I've also seen surf maps, and some other custom maps.

On certain guns I've noticed that also. I generally roll with a AK-47 or M4, and those don't seem to suffer from that. FAMAS is also pretty good, although it has much higher recoil.

Has anyone else given it a try? Curious on what others think
To be honest its nothing really new and the game is really showing its age. To have to crouch to get the best aim is just not realistic and to be honest just right down dumb these days. Most professional teams such as the CTs wont be running around firing from the hip anyways. (im nitpicking now but its one thing that has ALWAYS bothered me since I started playing)
Wasted $14 bucks? Nah not really but its not something im gonna invest a lot of my time into like I did with BF3. CS maps are cramped and pretty much you most likely end up doing the same thing in every game. The great thing about BF3 and the open worlds is there are several ways to get to the objective so you arent having to go guns blazing because some guy is camping the entrance. Need to get around a wall? No biggie have an engineer blow the wall down (but be prepared to be noticed). Its stuff like that you cant do in CS and pretty much makes me bored with the game especially when you have the AWP whores on the map.

I hate to admit it (considering I've been playing CS since 2000) but you are definitely right.
It's not a bad game at all, not by a long shot. However, after playing BF3, and more updated titles, it feels very archaic - and cramped. Plus AWP is still just as annoying as ever

Yeah I found myself pretty much almost doing the same things I was doing when I first started playing it as a mod. Nothing new

They never advertised it to be anything different. In fact, they were bringing in all the competitive players from 1.6 and CS:S, just to make it more like a blend between those 2. (Which I feel they did quite well honestly)
And like I said earlier in the thread, if the previous CS's held your interest, then this one would also. But they didn't really add a whole lot to the game honestly, just newer graphics.Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz
