Yea, let me just put down a number of modern titles that are ridiculously better than a majority of Atari's list back then.

I'm not saying it had bad games, in fact far from it as I go back and play a lot of them every now and then.

But to say these kids have no idea of what good games are? Oh please, I would have killed growing up to play some of the games we have available now..

Hell half the games we have now are games I said growing up "imagine if we could do this in games, or that, or if games looked like this...etc."

Let alone 3d, touch controls, kinect, wii, etc.. all these innovations.

Seriously, Dude, Your commenting on an article from a Magazine from nearly a decade ago.

I miss the good old days of Atari 2600, 7800, Sega Master System, Nintendo Entertainment System, hell even the old Tiger Electronic Games, and the old Mattel Electronic LED games before even those.

But I have to agree 110% with everything that Solo mentioned.

But seriously, to say "THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GOOD IS........ Very, very sad "

They can say the same thing about you, considering that you don't care one bit for todays newer games, and by comparison the old games we grew up with look like Preschooler activities... You know, Sticking Plastic shaped blocks in the right holes, or playing with Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs.

For Us, the early Video games were to classic Board games for older generations, as Modern games are to the old classics we grew up with.

So when you think about it, those that are nearing retirement age now, could be saying the same exact thing "THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GOOD IS........ Very, very sad " about the old original Classics Like Pong, Donkey Kong, Pacman, and others in comparison to say Rock'em Sock'em Robots, Battleship or whatever else comes to mind.

Local Roller Rink, playing Pole Position was my favorite. As well as Final Fight, and waiting in line to play the Star Wars Trench Run one, then having to leave because parents didn't want to wait any longer, and when we did get a chance to, the damn thing was out of order LOL.

But I remember back when the store I work at, used to have Arcade Games in the front of the store, and all of us would sneak over from the Junior High in mornings before school started or even after school, and watch some of the others kick ass at Street Fighter 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, N.A.R.C. and some others.

That is like saying that kids today who drive a Honda Civic or Ford Focus have no idea what a good car is because they didn't grow up driving a Ford Model T.
One by one the penguins steal my sanity.
