I'm downloading now...
But... I purchased the $ 49.99 expansion packs thinking it was a early order "spiff" and included the game... I even called customer service and asked Berwinder... "Relax", "No problem"... yada, yada.... I mean, hell, I even played the beta. It wasn't spelled out until release day...
Shit. Well now I bought the game... Now I have to buy the wife something nice...
I think EA needs to be taken to the "Unethical marketing" wood shed.
Any of you guys on the LA servers?Bill Clinton: "I chose other women over Hillary. You should too!"

I usually play in the V.i. servers (Violent Industries), based in Seattle. I think they bought 7 servers worth of slots.
I agree about the EA thing, it was a little confusing going through the purchase options, and EA in general is rated pretty poorly. To those who might be saying goodbye, take your sadness in stride as you walk toward the beautiful horizon.

I've bought it, but not had a chance to play. I have read that it keeps count of the rounds you expend.
I have the dreaded "CRS" (Chronic Reloading Syndrome). The moment I have a chance, I reload, which means, in BF4, I will need to actually pay attention to how many rounds I fire. They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.

Same boat here, if I have a second of peace I'll reload even if I've only popped off a few rounds. Guess I need to watch that!
Really liking the boat action! To those who might be saying goodbye, take your sadness in stride as you walk toward the beautiful horizon.

Ditto on the reload and it has bitten me in the ass on multiple times doing it. Yet I dont seem to learn, ive actually gotten a lot better with it mainly because ive been learning to play with a silenced pistol to not give away my position on the mini map. Next saturday when I get home will be dedicated to playing!!

Battlefield 4: The brutal, broken, beautiful pinnacle of first person shooters | Ars Technica
You have to unlock some of the weapons by playing the single player? BLAH! I didnt even look at the single player on 3.
Dear EA I am happy to pay 60 bucks for the multiplayer, just dont force me to bother with your single player mode.

Hit boxes suck, game crashes, invisible obstacles, and those single player unlocks make it less likely I'll but the next version of BF. My biggest gripe? Client side hit detection.

Yet another great EA title that works perfectly straight outta the box!

Those issues arent uncommon when it comes to a new EA release and all those that you listed were in the beta

Biggest problem I have right now is sudden crashes and I have to upgrade due to processor demands. My FPS runs in the mid 30's. It plays fairly smooth, but thing happen that shouldn't.
So hopefully, Black Friday will have some good stuff.Bill Clinton: "I chose other women over Hillary. You should too!"

Im not sure if its my pc (my cpu is a bit old now that I think about it) but the final seems to run a lot worse than the beta.
Anyone else getting that?

Getting CPU lag in Battlefield 4? I found a fix that worked great for me. : battlefield_4
Let's see if this helps
Looks like Dice is looking into this issue too (from the reddit thread)
We are investigating this at DICE. Some of the graphic lag is related to how the OS handles the CPU cores. The main reason the game runs better in Win 8 is due to better handling of the cores.
We will get back to you when we have investigated this.

I think they have another up date coming down this week, so we'll see what it fixes. They have a buttload of adjustments to make, particularly in balancing power of different guns, and totally lousy spawns. I spawned on one game just in time to see myself get run over by a tank.
I have a problem seeing people. They just seem to "emerge". Probably due to my low settings and low frame rates... and my age...
And I wonder about BF5. How many people can keep spending $ 300 - $500 on rebuilds, before they start getting push back. I've got a GTX 670 I paid ~ $400 a couple of years ago, and now I'm looking at a board and cpu for another $ 300 or so. Then of course there's the SSD, and Windoze 8... maybe even a power supply.
The wife is thinking maybe I have a mistress. Well, I do sort of.. LOL. She's named BF4!
Oh well... QQBill Clinton: "I chose other women over Hillary. You should too!"
