Best LAN Game

I think that the people you play with is more important that what you are playing but that's just me.

I guess I had my best times playing Diablo2. That was a really fun game - really dated now but really fun.

My fave so far is Quake III with Instagib mod.....sooooo much fun.....

Yeah, I played The Original Wolf 3D, I had the Barney Mod, where all the guys were Beavis and Butthead, and then of course, there was Barney....

Counterstrike is fun but the maps take a while to dl and it gets boring if there's one elite guy.

Renegade is very fun, but only with 4 or more people. Hillarity ensures when sneak beacon attacks occour or when the GDI team gets all mammoths except one guys in the Hotwire character,

If you want all frills action with really, REALLY fun weapons, play Descent 3. It's only 9.99 at walmart WITH expansion, can be easily copied (FOR TEMPORARY PURPOSES ONLY PLEASE). It also has many diffrent ways to play out of the box. Such as regular Anarchy (deathmatch), Capture the flag, Hoard (where you collect orbs dropped by dead players), Team Anarchy, Team Hoard, Hyper Anarchy (where a Hyper orb will double the points of the player who has it), Monsterball (soccer), and Entropy (a complicated base-capture game that is best for 8 players and up). It has a slight learning curve though Did I mention this game's a blast? (hint: for maximum fun-factor, play the B-side levels and the downloadable #300 baud levels. Also, make sure to patch the game as version 1.3 (the version Mercenary patches to) is unplayable. Good thing the patch is about 2 megs )

For RTS, Red Alert 2 and Warcraft 3 are musts. Homeworld is worth checking out as well, but it takes some time to learn.

And for the laugh-a-minute game, Worms Armageddon never ceases to amaze. Just wait until someone get's a concrete donkey!

Neverwinter nights is incredible... I mean incredible. Probably one of the best games I've ever played. Can't wait to play it in multiplayer. I played it the other days for hours on a friends pc.

I'm just not going to buy a copy until Bioware makes good on their claim that they're going to release a Linux client. (which I hope they do soon..)

i have Homeworld but it doesn't work with firwalls (internet but in LAN its great)
this descent 3 sounds great but here in switzerland there are no Walmarts
