Hey all,
I'm currently thinking about using a plugin that will give me a house in balmora (or somewhere around that area). Basically i want something with plenty of storage, plenty of display room for my weapons, manequins would be kewl for displaying armor. Also i want it to look good
Has anybody tried any of the house plugins? Which would you recomend? Or is there somewhere in balmora already that i could use?
Thanks!

I have never tried a house plugin or any other plugin. I will probably save that option until after I beat the game for the first time.
Here is the house that i use.
The clothing vendor has a house you can easily acquire in Balmora. It does not offer much in the way of displaying your treasures but there is alot of room for storage as well as a bed to rest up in. Its also quite close to all the guilds...
To acquire this you have to kill him. I would do so by taunting him until he attacks you, that way you wont get a bounty on you. Once you kill him everything is yours for your pleasure.
Now I killed him by stealing something very small and he attacked me. I then had to kill him. The bounty was for theft not murder so I paid the fine which was very small. If you go this route you want to make sure you dont have any stolen property on you because they (the guards) will take it from you. I would just drop everything just in case.

Well i already use a couple of the official plugins.
I might look into that house u use.... Most of the plugins i had a look thru over at www.morrowindfiles.com sounded good, but they either werent in balmora, if they were in balmora they had had bad reviews, or if they were in balmora & had good reviews but they made the game too uneven (e.g. loot, NPC's with like 35k gold, dummies that you can attack to increase skills etc...)
LOL yeh i hate how the guards take all "stolen" goods from you, it sucks, i've taken stuff from people i've found dead and they still take it from me! Not asif the dead person was gonna use it!

When I killed everyone in the council club on some mission way back, I took over their house/ building. I have a room full of scrolls, I have a room full of magical and expensive weapons and armour, I have a room full of magical jewelery and stuff and I have a room full of misc junk |

There is a house you can get without a mod but it's in Pelegiad, unfortunately.
If you do a few quests for the Thieves Guild Khajiit (sp?) in the tavern in Pelegiad she will eventually give you the key to her house and basically shack up with you. Lots of room, fine silverware, nice place, etc., but no fast transpo to anywhere else
I'm just using the sleeping quarters and training room in the Balmora Fighters Guild basement until I find something better.

one of the best home plugins I've seen when I played stil was Saurons Abode.. found the download for it at morrowind-mods http://207.191.50.35/mods1/sauron...uronsAbode.zip
I was unable to find the Armor Mannequin that was made a while ago.. but I have a copy of it.. it works well.. |

the mission is Bloodbath, Once you reach level 6 you can ask people in Balmora about a little secret . You will hear that Larrius Varro at Fort Moonmoth (just East of Balmora) wishes to speak with you. Larrius is in the back of the main fort past all the vendor tables. Larrius ends up speaking very carefully and actually asks you to do nothing (which is his intent), but if you question him further he will tell you that he wants someone to wiping out 5 members of the Camonna Tong in Balmora. Though he doesn't know where they are, or even their names, he knows their proffessions: scout, pawnbroker, savant, thief, and smith. that is baiscly everyone in the council club. |
