    R/C AIRCRAFT software

I just got my son an r/c airplane for christmas and heard about some software to practice flying with computer before going out and crashing the model. If we could use the regular joystick we both probably fly fine right away. But the r/c uses completely different kind of joystick. Anyway there's supposed to be software that lets you hook the joystick (transmitter) to the computer and practice flying different model's and get the hang of the contols first before getting into an expensive accident.

Any R/C people here want to give me some hints??

    Thanks
