a new generation of gaming. Personally, I think PS2 online and Xbox online are kind of stupid. PS2 has only a few good games, but those are GOOD. Xbox is total crap. All of the games they advertise are either old PC games, poorer ports of PC games, or sports games. they are very full of themselves. read this link to see that Microsoft thinks PS2 online sucks, and anyone who uses it is a total moron who sees invisible people, ITS RETARTED. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A DUMBER FAQ PAGE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! I have no real problem with windows, but Microsoft, shut up about the whole Xbox thing

Seems that Microsoft has been laying low punches lately. Maybe Sony and Nintendo will get slightly ticked that the NUMBER 3 console is spreadin crap. Or maybe they won't care, as slaes for M$ haven't seemed to improve.

Lets think about this, First off you have a computer, which can do wounders with. specialy in playin video games, better graphics better performance etc... then you have a console, yes i have to admit some of the games and graphics and made lasting impressions on me, yet online gaming with a console?, just another way to suck away peoples money.. a console can only do so much in gaming and/or online. Yet a computer can do just about anything, plus you could lower and your graphics seting and add more ram for better gaming, unlike console you get what you get and thats it. no 128MB vidcard, no 512MB/1GB RAM, or a high end processor.

If they ever set it up to where gamers around the world Computers/Consoles alike to play togeather in a game, i believe gamers using computers will no doubt have the advantage over them.

so pretty much Consoles online is more then total crap. Just another play to pay network

UGh, argueing w/ you uber pc gamers is simply tiring. Not everyone has a computer and not everyone has a UBER computer that can handle UT or Doom. The poll sucks in the first place. Its geared for consoles to be ripped apart. Im not going to vote.

The whole thing w/ microsoft is a joke. Take it as that. Sometimes you guys are to sensitive. And dont think for one minute Sony or Nintendo doesnt have a spin to rip on one another. Get over it. Its buisness and everyone spins.

Simple fact: There are game solely designed to be played on a PC online or what not. There are games that will not go PC and stay console or even multi-console that go online or what not. To simply say PS2 online sucks or Xbox Live online sucks w/o even trying it is utterly ridiculous. Stop being such fanboys and uber l337 gamers and wake up. You guys keep preaching Xbox is crap, it sucks, M$ sucks.....blah freakin blah. Grow up. Microsoft finally puts out a quality product and your sooo caught up w/ your previous experiances to not realize this.

Dont play console games, I dont care. If you wanna miss out on some of the most incredible game experiances than its your loss not mine. Halo, Metroid Prime, Socom, are some of the greatest games released in the last year and you guys are so biased that your blind to the fact that these are phenominal(sp?) games.

Dont come spewing crap out of your mouths and onto message boards that all consoles suck if you havent even touched a GC, Xbox, or PS2 controller. Your negativity sucks and you people to me are pathetic.

Redwolf Xbox is # 2 my friend and is catching upto PS2. Its still a ways off mainly because it ahd a huge head start but it is catching up. Look for round 2 when the action will heat up.

I am not bashing consoles and I think they have their advantages. The lack of upgrades is actually advantageous, since teh game designers now do not have to do high, med, and low detail textures and set in diffrent resolutions and graphics options for those without supercomputers. Instead, they cater to one console and can preset the game to look the best on a console without sub-NSTC quality framerates (~25 fps).

I have played PS2 at my friends (since i'm too cheap to buy one) and I thin it's a blast. It's also wonderfully easy to set up for multiplayer, much more so than a PC (one of my gripes about LAN parties).

However, my favorite genere in computing is RTS, which, quite simply, is very hard to deal with on a controller (I hope Red Alert and Starcraft 64 taught us this). Also, the keyboard and mouse interface feels more natural than a gamepad for FPS games (my 2nd fav. genere).

A PC's upgradability means that games can break graphical limits much quicker than on consoles. A PC's technology evolves much faster than a console can ever dream of.

I still play consoles though. I'm particularly fond of portable systems (PSOne w/screen, GBA).

To say that the PC sucks and is nothign compared to consoles is also a ludicrous statement. There are games on the PC like Warcraft III, RTcW, Jedi Knight II, and No One Lives Forever II that are unique PC experiences (okay, so JKII is also on consoles. But it has much lower scores than it's PC counterpart, because the port didn't go well. Also had heard RTcW coming to the GC, but had not seen it out for the GC yet.)

I don't particularly like the Xbox, even though I have never REALLY played it. Played it at teh store once. Didn't like the controller too much. True, that's not the best judge of a console, but if you consider that I have huge hands, you know somethings wrong when a controller that big doesn't work with me.

Sorry if I'm not up to date on the console wars, but as of now I'm not really an active participant.

i kep the fact that not everyone can afford a really good computer, or a really good connection. i guess there isnt much of a problem if you play consoles ONLY.....but still, this FAQ is retarted. I feel, that as of now, consoles online isnt
any good for a good ammount of people. no offense to console gamers, though

Do you honestly think that FAQ was geared in anyway towards anyone but Xbox Fanboys? It's just a stupid page trying to play to the preteen adolescense side of fanboy gamers. You'll find some of the same kinds of things in the more popular console gaming mags geared towards one console. Why? Because chances that some fanboy for the other console reading that mag and writing in to complain about it is a non factor. If they read it and took the time to write in and complain, the mag already got the guy for the $5-10 for the magazine off the rack.

I agree.. I think that there needs to be a balance in PC Games and Console Games online for society to survive at all. I mean if pc games didn't exist all the rich folk would have nothing to spend their money on except drugs and if console games didn't exist then poor folk would run around killing each other for lack of anything better to do.....you guys think about that and be ashamed for lashing against one another. I am dissappointed at Microsoft, Sony, and Xbox, they forgot the real reason for gaming when the nintendos turned to GameCubes.

Well which Michael Jackson you talkin about Thrapster? As long as your talkin pre Dangerous album then I think he does not suck. Otherwise, he's a whacked out lunatic.

I think consoles are great experience for the RPG fans (like me). They have come out with some of the most fun games I have ever played. FF series, Xenogears, Wild Arms, Suikoden/Secret of Mana, and many many others. As far as any other genre goes (besides fighting games), I think consoles dont really do much for me. And the whole online thing? Well thats a lost cause. Maybe its much better with a DSL or cable connection but seriously, I cant fathom doin anything on the internet without a mouse/kb. PS2 is really only good for RPG's at the moment and XBox is only good for a few things: Halo (even tho the controls scream for a mouse/kb) is seriously sooooo much fun co-op, and DoA3 is a truly beautiful fighting game. Otherwise, I wasn't toooo impressed by it. At least not impressed enough to purchase one. Plus thats what my friends are for. They can buy em

When will we all come to our senses and realize how beautiful life can be if we just sit down and play games without wanting to kill our neighbor because of their gaming preferences. I personally...I think I'm going to start a Childrens Gaming Fund Foundation, and put commercials on tv and everything. Everyone would be happy then.

Just wish to let you know that while microsoft still is #3, and losing $150 on every XBOX sold. Although about the rest of it I agree with you. PC people stop being so damn blind.
