ok yall. this is my idea of the perfect game. its not flawless, so dont say "that is stupid" but you may point out problems and give possible solutions
The Perfect Game is a game in which you can do anything. it has all the capabilities of everyday life but with added bonuses. for example, if i wanted to, i could set it to be in 194~ and join the army and fight nazis that try to conjur up demons(sound familiar? ) or i could become a racecar driver. or i could run for president, or i could join the mafia and steal cars and shoot people and run from cops. or, i could go about everyday life trying to make good grades in school or do good at work, whatever i want to do! granted, it would take an unimaginable amount of hours and code to create this and would prolly cost no telling how much $$, but wouldnt it be AWESOME!!?? a game where any scenario is possible! if i felt like playing an fps, then i would go buy a gun and join the mafia/army/whatever or just go around being mean with my gun. or if i felt like a sports game, i woud join a sports team and play on their season against other teams. basically this is an all-in-one type game. you are this guy/gal. you pick your age/features/etc and go about life the way you want doing what you choose. there is no "goal" in this game, you do not "beat" it. but you can accomplish goals within the game. you get paid/robbed/killed/promoted/saved/transported to another demension. whatever!
any comments/suggestion?
i know its not very feasible, but it sounds good, huh?

If ya buy a PS2 and a hundred games then you are covered, and can do what ya want, just change the cd
Otherwise it would work with broadband and downloaded content, but all on one engine? |

Right. Wait about 30 years. Then we might actually be able to buy a computer capable of running such a game. For now, the closest you'll be able to get to something like this is a game like Morrowind. Even that one takes a pretty good system to run.
Oh, and while you're at it, why don't you add total VR via a direct neural connection to the brain/spinal cord to the mix.
Yep, I've often thought about what would be the "perfect game" and this is always where I tend to end up. It's fun to imagine though. |

The Perfect Game... Requires a GeForce 45 w/ 2TB of RAM and a 10GHz core clock.... a 4,000 Mega-GHz computer with 8TB of RAM and a 120TB HardDrive at a speed of 12 million rotations a SECOND.
either that, or when they begin building computers around organically created materials that resemble the human brain with unlimited speed and storage compatibilities. Creepy and cool

Oh, and don't forget the extra turbo buttons! |

Actually that game (the latter part of the post) sounds a lot like what you can do in a real life........
which IMO is boring... why play a game of real life when its out there already. I want dragons and magic and stuff

Of course it sounds a lot like what you can do in real life, because that's what it is. But you missed the point. It would let you do ANYthing you can do in real life. One day you could be an Air Force pilot, the next a NASCAR driver. Those are things that can be done in real life, but not by most of us. Of course, the best part is the advanatages you get in games over real life. #1, you can't get hurt. #2, you can save, and go back to your save. Crash your F16? No problem.
Of course, included would be stuff like magic and dragons, etc. No such game would be complete without it. In a nutshell, the perfect game would include all the possibilities in current computer games, all the possibilites in real life, and be set in a VR world where your VR is total, in that it sends signals directly to your brain via a neural connection.
