Flight Simming & Virtual Airlines.
Hey guys,
Just wondering if there are any active flight simmers in the TechIMO community?
...And if so do you belong to a virtual airline?
I am curious as to how popular this sort of thing is and would be glad to hear of any virtual airline stories.
Cheers.

Yeah, M$ Flight Simulator is the most common of these but virtually any flight sim game can participate, eg. FLY!Originally posted by jrock

Gday Lawrence.
Do you play flight sims yourself?
I've become a bit of a plane spotter myself in recent years.
Done a bit of flying in lighties, and a lot of reading.
Never quite got round to playing sims.
Interested in your thoughts.

You will find lots of similar-minded civvy simmers at http://www.avsim.com/
Personally, I don't fly anything that doesn't have a parachute or an ejector seat

At the moment I've got M$FS 2002 Pro and belong to a virtual airline. The idea is that you sign up, pick a route and fly it using the airlines planes etc. Then you log the flight, get awarded the hours and work your way up the rankings.
The M$ Flight Sim is probably the most popular at the moment and is great fun.
If you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer them.
Cheers

Gday Lawrence.
Hmm, I've got a copy of FS95 around here somewhere.
Tried it once never did get it to go.
Did some low flying today.
On my BM.
Up the Sarina range and down the Eton range.
Round trip 170 Kms.
Sometimes it's hard to replace the real deal.
Sure it's not an aircraft.
But a motorcycle, is as close as you can get.
To high speed, low level manoeuvres!
You know, it is said in Aviation.
For all the records, that have been set.
There is one, that will never be broken.
The record for low altitude flying!
