I never likes any console bec it will wasting ur alot of money, for intsance, Gamecube then GC2, xbox then xbox 2 and PS2 then PS3. PS1, PS2, PS3 will cost us over 2,000 dollars(games inducle). PC is so expensice, indeed, but once you have it then you just can upgrade it for only less 500. PC offer us mass mp game, powerful graphic, more comfortable to control any FPS or other game with mouse. Any consoles have awful control on any FPS! To whoever have consoles is more likely to be isoultion dude. |

PC Games are not going away... and not with the current development (and advances) in video card hardware and graphics software.!!! Quote: |
One of the biggest problems I see with the gaming biz right now is piracy. I wish people would stop pirating games, especially if they can afford them. Buying good games let's the developer know it's being purchased, and so to keep making such games. I know games are expensive right now, but that doens't mean you should pirate them to show defiance. Just write the company that games are expensive, and that you would buy them gladly if it were cheaper to do so.
| That's very true. Although, I do have some "illegal" games, I buy the very very good games like: Syberia, The Longest Journey, etc.
Heck ... I bought Full Throttle for like $5!!

I can’t see PC games becoming extinct; ok, so consoles are popular and the PS2 did apparently outsell the PC in games recently, but consoles have a relatively short shelf life and are just too restrictive when compared to the trusty PC.
It's funny though, over the years, consoles have become more like PC's than consoles, with Hard Drives and Modems, and DVD drives and…
Also, from looking around in my local EB, it seems that most games are now being produced for all of these platforms.
PC's probably are going through a tough time like Redwolf said, but the market is swamped with consoles...X-Box, PS2, Game Cube, Game Boy, etc. and there games, so I guess customers don’t really know what to buy.
Anyhow, I’m confident that the PC will prevail and we'll all have many many more years of exciting PC fragging fun!

I think what Redwolf said about PC gamers buying online is true. I know it's true for me and other people I know. One interesting thing is that when PC sales figures are quoted, online purchases are not included, or so I understand. Consequently, lots more games are selling than many people realize.
I also agree with Redwolf about piracy. We need to support the game developers we like! |

With games becoming more complex to design, fewer are being made. You dont have 13zillion startup companies any more. Now, its the companies that have survived, taking time to make quality games that will sell. |

seems the only good games that come to pc are: fps, rts, mmorpgs, and thats really about it.
coming from someone that loves racing games, flight combat (no sim) and the good ol' street fighter series, the selection for computers is somewhat lackluster. the only reason i built my computer is to play battlefield 1942, and some upcoming first person shooters. i just hope intel, amd, and microsoft get their stuff together to compete with the ps3. that is if the "cell" technology doesnt bite the dust.

PS3 aint gonna be a problem. The very fact that it is coming out gives testimony to PC dominance. With PC, you can upgrade one part at a time, not have to buy a whole new system. We can mod pc games, have better online games; and dont forget that the keyboard mouse combo is still the best control config in the world! |

I third that. Lawrence--NICE AVATAR! It's an excellent mod of the undead box art! Computers have sticks, mice, and keyboards. Ah ah ah ah stayin alive stayin alive. PC gaming is so much more expandable than consoles, where there are millions of limits compared to PC. |
