the only reason i built my computer is to play battlefield 1942
| If you play battlefield 1942 you should join the techimo battlefield 1942 clan [TIMO] at www.clanimo.com Dont forget about the other the games the cs, moh, halo, etc.
Try joining a clan with consoles and playing online with mics. The closest thing to that is the x-box live, but computer has some many more features to that aspect |

Plus, internet access is probably cheaper, faster, and better on computer (and you don't have to buy 100 accessories to use it). If I had to buy a console, I'd buy a GC, for its good games. |

I hear what your saying about PC games Vs. Console games.
I hate it when i find out developers try to transfer very popular pc games to console games, i.e: Diablo, Starcraft, The Sims, Baldurs Gate, etc... these console versions have nothing on the originals.
does this bother anyone else? |

StarCraft I have for computer. I've heard about the 64 version. It has ups and downs:
pros:
--extra levels
cons:
--having to use that N64 controller to control what is normally a mouse and keyboard strategy game.
--NO BATTLE.NET!!!! |

the nice thing about consoles is that when you go over grandmom pearls house, you can bring it with you and hook it up, granted she has a/v plugs in the back of her tv. Especially the game cube, it is really easy to bring with you to and fro, and now it has a little screen that can just attach right to it. that is like the ultimate portable gaming machine. try picking your computer up and bringing over grandmoms, it would be hard. The only console system i still play is playstation I, and i love it, all the other ones....ahhh, the origional is the best The fact is, i love my computer, and i dont think i will ever switch back to consoles, but each have its own advantages. one of the big reasons that game purchases for the computer have been droping IMO, is kazaa, i did some research today, and i found games like GTA3, bf1942, and a couple other big games that would usually be selling for 50 bucks, and here it is for free. please dont d/l games from kazaa, its theft, go out and buy them |

IMO yes they are, since consoles are designed to play games, theres gonna be more pressure on the companies to build really great games. besides, consoles have massively multiplayer gaming capabilties as well, anyone noticed xbox live, the modem and broadband adapter for nintendo gamecube? ya and the
beginning of it all is coming with the new GC Phantasy Star Online
Episode 1 and 2 games. ya i may favour my consoles but thats
not why i dont like my pc because everytime theres a new
revolution in pc gaming, you say all right all i need is 80-90 bucks
for the game, and a few thousand for all the crap i need to buy
for my pc to handle the games. on the other hand you got
consoles, hey theres a new console out, wait a week, hey they
are giving away games with the consoles and the packages are
just over 200 or in the case of gamecube around 140 150 dollars!
These new generation consoles may be pricey right now but in
the future the next ones are gonna be less and less until a HUGE
leap is made! So you go out and get urself a console, at around 250-300 dollars, they bring out a next gen console and you got out and get that, another 450 dollars for a totally new gaming experiance. Then lets say theres a new game out for pc, you go and get it at like 80-90 bucks, come home install it, or at least try to when you see you dont have enough space for it, so you delete some older games and try to play it. hey my video card doesnt meet the requirements! go out and get one that does at around 500 dollars. come home, see that even that video card plays really choppy. so you go out and upgrade your system even more and spend around another 1000 dollars. So heres how it turns out, you can either spend around 700 750 dollars on 2 consoles that come with games, or you could go out and spend around 1090 dollars on 1 pc game and its requirements, just when you find out that another game has come out and it beats the crap out of the one you just got, so you go and get it and another 1100 down the drain, so you tell me, which is a better deal in the end, not to mention Gamecubes internet adapter costs like 25 dollars and the connection is free for the rest of your life, or you could go out, buy a highspeed modem for like 300 dollars, then pay around 40 bucks a month for it! consoles in the end are a much better waste... er way to spend your money |

Don't forget all the capabilities of a computer though, without a computer there wouldn't be a console
With a computer:
you can chat with people
you can overclock it
you can customize it
you can burn cd's
you can run DC projects
you can run an operating system you want
you can do whatever you want to it
With a console
everything that you wish you could do with a computer :P |
