    Half Life 2 = Counter-Strike 2?

I not much into single player games or games with monsters and stuff..
I do enjoy Counter-Strike. so, with the upcoming release of HL 2 does that mean there will be a CS 2?

As I mentioned I love CS. I like the speed ,gamplay , team concept, and most of all---------NO MONSTERS, but the graphics are really boring and blocky..
    Tell me what you know.

laeralus did you see the counterstrike: Condition Zero?

I have a feeling it wont move over. With this new game coming out it will probably take over the old cs and they might later down the road move in the half life 2 engine.

i heard there might be news about it tommorow

    interesting this site says different

    Multiplayer
» 10 new multiplayer maps and the addition of bots
» Bots respond to radio commands issued through an onscreen VGUI; no word on bots responding to radio commands in multiplayer
» Steam technology will continuously update the game, including updates to prevent multiplayer hacks and cheats
» VALVe plans to integrate CS with CZ by releasing Counter-Strike 1.7
» Owners of either can play with each other as long as they stay off the Condition Zero-exclusive maps

So here’s the summary: Half-Life 2 is coming September 30th. Takes place in a European-type city called "City 17" and picks up sometime after Gordon went to work for the G-Man. Gordon’s back, there’s a new female sidekick named Alyx, and Xen aliens are involved. The new engine is called the Source Engine and Valve says they’re confident that Half-Life 2 will be an even better platform for mods than the original. There will be multiplayer, but they aren't saying what it'll be.

and Condition Zero will have Single player and multiplayer for Counterstrike as said by GZ3
