I havent heard anything like that... yet. The games ok, it gets old after awhile and kinda pointless. I find pouring some gasoline on a cop and lighting him up and watch him run around setting everyone else on fire most amusing . I would play GTA over it anyday, waiting for vice city!
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

compared to gta3, excluding the missions and focusing on mindless violence, which is better?

The game is definetly not banned, otherwise, there'd be hysterical media on games being bad you can grab it at gogamer.com for $25 make it $30 which in cludes shipping, if you order now, expect to get it on Friday, but if you take USPS and it doesn't show up on Friday, you'd get it on Saturday. I'm waiting for Vice City, VC seems much cooler, but if you want to get Postal... there's Gary Coleman...

ive played both gta3 and gta vice city and i kinda like plain old gta3 better bc there are more people to unleash your mindless violence on. i know there is more functionality and more/better missions in vice city, but thats not as fun i think than just running around causing mass pandemonium...

Postal 2 isn't too good. There are loading zones everywhere. If you need to get across the town, and you will, you'll spend over half your time waiting for levels to load. If thats not bad enough, the game gets old FAST. I wanted to stop playing about half way through the game.

I had a blast at the demo about a month ago, was quite a bit of fun although the demo had a time limit which wasnt very long, so I didn't get to do much.

Not too bad actually. Just get the quick save button ready.
When you walk through the towns if you don't have any weapons, most of the people won't bother you..

I got really annoyed at the lack of quicksave and all the loading zones.

I finished it, though. As you're trying to get home after doing the last mission, things get REALLY weird.

The game is fun and makes me laugh. The load zones suck bad.

Hint: Feed the dogs that growl at you some treats and they will follow you and attack the people that attack you or that you attack.
