I've got a seroius problem here.
I really get and I mean really get peed off when I'm playing any kind of game on the pc. Right now my two main games are Vietcong and EA Sports Baseball 2003.I think I might need deep psychological help becasue I get so upset when I lose. I mean I literally almost punch my monitor when I play these games. Is there any hope for me?

like taz said, when driving this can become very dangerous. i get this same feeling when i get behind a slow driver or someone pulls out in front of me etc., sometimes its all i can do to keep myself from intentionally hitting them.

Was that dude speaking another language, or is that what happens when you freak out over a video game?

I think he might have been german or something, the original file name was "grmngameboysjuk.mpeg" so if you decipher that, you might German Game Boy's Junk?

Get a punching bag or something you can safely beat on to take out your anger on.
It worked for me when I was in school.
Now I've learned the fine art of Apathy. I just don't care anymore. It's actually good for your health. Having an "I don't care" attitude for little things is great. You just have to make sure you don't apply it to everything. I did and almost lost my job, learned that lesson well.

Too many people have a lack of knowledge and a lack of apathy; They don't know, and they don't care!

Seriously though, remember... it's only a game! (It's the ego-tistical male tendencies that get in the way!

I'm sure you know how it is though. You're just about to beat the big guy for a level or the final guy and you just needed a couple more hits on them. You're toasted. I think it's partly a human condition where people get frustrated doing the same thing over and over again. The repetitiveness gets annoying.

Alas, I HATE LOSING!!!!

Yes, I know how it is when you finally think you're getting better than the other guy(s) and then BLAMMO!! you're history...
Here's my strategy: I just use the frustration to fuel my offensive and I get really loud and talking to the other guy(even though he can't hear me), and then BLOW HIS HEAD OFF!!!!
Sorry, just natural thing to do I guess...
Everyone gets frustrated when that happens, but eventually one of two things happen:
1. You calm down enough to be able to play a mature, calm, and collective game against someone you accept as being better than you.
2. You just stop playing for a while.
David
BTW, the reason you stopped playing in #2, was because you punched and kicked your computer until it crashed/rebooted and you had to restart the comp...

Good Idea.
I beg to differ ....In my case, I go with the cheapo Keyboards (4 so far to be exact)
I own 2 Razor Boomslang 2000's and when I get my ass handed to me I tend to find a good split second or two to realize this and then turn my anger towards the keybord.
Granted this can be more costly but I think the mouse is more of an important instrument in keeping myself alive longer before the inevitable hits and once again I'm paying a visit to the local CompUSA.
Younger Kin are also good pummeling devices, but I moved from the humble confines of home and no longer have them around for my disposal.
Drugs and Drink wont help... Just grab your KB with two hands and swing and I'm sure pretty much anything you come in contact with will do you justice .
Works for me !Last edited by BFsoLo.; May 18th, 2003 at 01:05 AM.

no problem. With mine, 560 Ti's in SLI, I don't get much GPU usage with internet, they'll heat up to maybe 40-45C, 50 if the room is warm, with GPU acceleration in the browser. otherwise mine...
SLI problem? :(
