Morrowind Help Please

I am in the middle of the main quest, at the point where i am attempting to become the Horator of each of the great Houses. I have Televanni and all i have to do for Redoran is duel Bolvyn Vemin. I have read everywhere that he is supposed to ask my character....well i have run through every single talking point there is with him, and no duel. I ask him about the Councilors, he says he doesn't care, i ask him to name me, he says no chance, and thats it, no duel, no nothing. What should i do? Thanks

My son suggests bribing him with gold.

I got him up to 100% liking me...do you know what talking line i am supposed to follow to get him to want to duel me, and should i pump him up with gold before i say anything, and how high? Sorry for so many questions, but every walkthrough and such makes it pretty clear he is just "supposed" to want to duel me, basically right out of the box. Thanks again

Try talking to some other characters about him. Maybe even go back and talk to the character that sent you on your quest.

The guy you get the suggestions from tells you that you should talk him into a duel....i went back, talked to him again, and he just says that the same thing..duel duel duel, talk him into a duel....i can't figure out what to say to talk him into it, the walkthrough says he suggests it right after you ask to be Horator. ARRRR haha

Hey look at this:

Note: You don't need to wait for the completion of the last stage of your Stronghold to challenge him. Though you need to meet the requirement for Archmaster (ie Endurance and Strength 35, one skill at 90, two skills at 35) or Bolvyn Venim won't accept your challenge.

I looked at this, but its for a different part of the game (if you duel him in this manner, you take his place on the council and become Horator for Redorn automatically when the time comes) This for a side-quest involving becoming a member of the House of Redorn, which i am not. The part about the stats is interesting, but while i am only lvl 13, i one stat at 100, and at least 6 at 50+ Thanks alot for your continued help!

I this Morrowwind the Elder Scrolls.....how boring. Turn the game off, its the only way you will win. I played that game steady for maybe 2 weeks then died of boredom. Its about as fun as doing the dishes.

Have you tried taunting him several times?
You can't get him to kick your butt by paying him
