| Superbike 2001 on XP?
I bought Superbike 2001 for my sisters husband for christmas. They have Win XP Home on their new Compaq(eeew) machine...seems like the darn game won't work. Is it impossible to get it to run. It loads to the EA logo screen and then exits to desktop.
Anything to do? |

Have you tried setting it to run in windows 98 compatibility mode?
To do this, right click the shortcut to the game (you can do this even in the start menu) go to properties
click on the compatibility tab
check the box that says run this box in compatibility mode for:
then select win 98 etc...
I have trouble playing cs with xp unless I put it in 98 mode.
Hope that works for you.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'm all new to XP...but it's popping up here and there now, so I guess I have to learn it. |

Nope. When I set it to win 98 compatible it didn't even come to the EA logo. |

On several EA Sports games i have had to set a swap file size manually of say 300 megs to get them to work...try that.
Aloha

I just ran go_ez.exe in the Superbike 2001 directory and it apears that it isn't supported for Windows 2000. I see a the game report my OS as Windows 2000 even though it's Windows Xp and there's red cross across Windows 2000 so I'm assuming this is the same case with Windows XP... I can only get to the EA screen and then it just boots me back to Windows desktop... |

Well, here is the solution to get the game running. Run the Compatibility Wizard and then run the game in Win95 mode and the game will run just fine... |
