Okay, I just fixed a friends computer. He was playing Counterstrike and it crashed while it was loading up a Quick game. Then it locked his resolution at 640x480 and killed his computer. When he went to change his resolution, it crashed his computer. I helped him by restoring a backup of his registry from the last time I was there (the day before yesterday). Worked just fine. The only problem is that it will now ask if he wants to go into normal and safe mode EVERYTIME the computer starts up. He doesn't want to reformat though. How do you get rid of it. His system is:
1400 mhz
Athlon
Radeon 7500+
256mb ram
Win 98SE
O, and what would cause the system to crash like that anyway? He was just playing counterstrike.
