Zelda has always been a great game. Legend of Zelda : The Wind Waker for the Gamecube, has hit Japan on its first release. Game magazines here in Tokyo gave it all over 95%. Truly a great game; 3D graphics and playbility. The best game in its class. Much better than Diablo.
A good guide for Zelda lovers: http://www.zeldaguide.com/gbasp.htm

Well, you don't want it to get too complicated/weird/etc. because you have to fit all the races into a storyline. Try getting like 6 or 7 races in a plot. Not to mention, you have to have a balanced game. There are only so many types of "styles", so...

To have more races in Warcraft/Starcraft soaks up a lot of ideas. I think there should be more creatures on every races. There are certain creatures that you can't train/make since you have build a specific building etc. Meaning not all creature you can create. That will help players to make choices.
I'll get bored easily if I can trained all types of creatures in the game.
Yes, Starcraft should have more races. But not well too much Otherwise, some creatures may have a quite the same abilities. |

DJ makes a good point. More creatures, per race, is not a bad idea. However, there's only so much variety that you can add. A choice would be a great way to balance out the types, but then again, to do so would mean there's a reason as to why.
For instance, split the templar archives into two. If you choose tribunal, you get the high templar and regular archon; if you choose outcast, you get dark templars and dark archons. Likewise, you could do the same for Kerrigan and Overmind, and also Rebellion and UED. In a sense, they would be factions. Nothing huge, but just small choices.
The key problem with this idea, however, is that you must create many more different units. To have the same type but different stats/looks is not what I'm looking for; instead, I want more support units, and more than one way to win, other than what we already know. |
