MAX PAYNE 2 REVIEW
Well I bought max Payne 2 and that game truly tops the first. IGN gave it a 9.7 I think and I completely stand by it. This games is flawless to me, I did not see any bad game designs or anything like that. The new bullet time simply surpasses the first in every way, the graphics are stunning to see. I played it at 1700 res and it looks so dam good and ran perfectly at that res with my p4 3ghz/ Radeon 9700 pro. The game is a little short though I bought it at around 4:00 and I just finished at around 11:20 because I played non-stop. So if you liked the first max Payne you will LOVE the 2nd!!!!! GOOD JOB REMEDY/ ROCKSTAR!!!

It's really that good? I've seen the graphics for it, and I have to say I've never seen a game with that good of graphics before. I guess I'll go an get it for PS2 for Christmas.

Its not hard, its not easy. I dont think i does (i cant remember) but dont bet on it. I just beat the game again right noe
because its so fun and also do not by it for the ps2, the enemies can aim really good now and trying to aim with a ps2 controler is going to be hard, trust me its so much better on pc.

Aren't those the EXACT same guns that were in the first one? Maybe except the MP5?

Just bought it and so far I'm very impressed! The havoc engine adds an increadible sense of being there. You get lost in the invroments like no other game I've played. Its no longer either rooms filled with bullet proof boxes that have been glued down or boxs that explode when you hit them with enough bullets, but box's, bottles everything fly around realisticly when caought in the middle of a hail storm of bullets. And its not like they are stealing the show, its not a "ooh look at the box's fly", its a side note, but one that helps bring the game to life!
Bullet time is better then the first (although less realistic, but hey its awesome). In on instance I heard some people on the other side of a door so I bullet jumped forward smashing the door open which knocked one guy forward into a wall while I glanced off the door and into another guy that the first one had been talking to. I hit him in the gut and he bucked over very realisticly while I filled the first man with lead. Then I landed and while lying there I held down the trigger and completly waisted the second guy while he lay there. It was one of those experinces that let you know your playing something special. A bit like Half-Life, when you knew the shooter bar was raised a few notches!
I can not emphisize enough how much I am looking forward to more havoc powered games!

The enviorments are one of the great things about the game that I forgot to mention.. Everything acts just as mentioned by Bob The Great. It really is incredible...

One of the things I really like is when sometimes you kill a bad guy and it shows it slow motion...and should they happen to fall off a ledge or a roof, you get to watch them fall all the way down and bounce off of whatever they hit...very realistic looking.

Oh and did I mention there's a level where you get to play as Mona!??!!? Heh heh...very nicely drawn, that one is.
For Some it's the Path...not the Goal.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention what Gouki mentioned! The slow mo deaths are awesome! In JK Outcast they were annoying because you would be getting shot while the enemy is getting killed, but so far in MaxPayne all the enemy slo mo deaths have come at the perfect time like at the end of a firefight when there is only on dude left. This once while a building was exploding around me I was running down a corridor and some retard jumped infront of me. Well I hit the slo mo and shoot him in the throat with my sniper rifle as I fly to the ground. The dude then fly's back doing a summersault in midair then this piece of falling catchs him takes him down a story and crushes his body! None of the scripted, is just happend that way!
I'm into the 3rd episode, and so far this game is only getting better!
