    Difficulties does matter

What difficulty level for any type of games you all usually starting off with?
To me I'll go for "Normal" in all, cos once I completed that any game I won't be playing it anymore.
    What about you?

Yup, I start off in normal too. Once I defeated Diablo II, I went back and did it again on Nightmare difficulty. That's the only game I've ever played through twice.

Thought I could find a super hero here
or any chicken better admit it, nothing to be shy.

Ok, let me start first, I go for rookie in Call of Duty in the beginning then it was too easy so change it to Normal later on. :P
however it was still too easy i completed it within 2 days, not palying any more cos I got all the clues.

I've played to many games over the years to use normal or easy anymore.. I put it on Hardest most of the time.. unless the hardest mode is nightmare.. then I choose just hard.

Depends on the game. I normally make it an objective to complete it on all the difficulties. So on Q3A, for example, I have the first 5 tiers done on every skill upto Nightmare. Most of the time I just play on normal though.

If it's too difficult I afraid that I couldn't complete it!
On some game it takes too much time to know how hard it's boss is.

Typically I start on "Normal" difficulty. If the game is really good, I'll go back through and play it again on a harder difficulty.

Such as Quake1. I have beat the game start to finish on every difficulty except nightmare. Also Half-life I have beat the game on all difficulties from start to finish no cheats.

Usually I don't play the game back to back unless it's reeaal good. I'll shelve it for a few months and when it sounds fun again I may try another crack at it.

Normal...unless Normal is synonymous with 'Can't Beat the First Level'

Usually normal. Except for UFO:Aftermath where normal is "We won't give you any guns so try to beat up the aliens with your fists."

Is nerdgirl the only one who starts on "easy" sometimes? It builds the confidence.
