Hello.
I'm a hardcore little lanner from brisbane. I run purely on the Counter-strike scene. So i suggest you get that.
*nod*
OAT:: What sort of system specs are you sporting?! Mouse type?! Keyboard type?! OS?! Monitors?! All the things important to the hardcore lanner.
My current favorite lan cafe is inferno lan. it's awesome. www.infernolan.net the system specs there are amazing and the atmosphere good.
PS: if you play CS.. drop me a PM sometime we could play a few rounds. I got my own clan server which would be super fast for you ( based in melbourne). I play under tobu. or [MOS]tobu.

Tribes yea, COD yea, BF1942 yea, Halo yea. Good idea for your place is to try to make a deal with a server company for some cheap servers to get publicity online for games. Try http://www.ryts.net.
Also get into some Everquest and Final Fantasy Online. That would help you out greatly. Specially with Middle Earth Online this Summer and the Matrix Online next Christmas. Get like 7 spots for Final Fantasy Online...it's $13 a month for 1 guy and $1 for any extra. So like $20 a month. Not bad.
I'd definately think about the server and large multiplayer games for your place.

We'll be running Win XP, with it cut back to win2000, visually, but also we are using an american based internet cafe software program that will not restrictthe lan too much. As i am a gamer myself i didnt want people to feel "restricted" or having a **** PC and LAN, like u see all the asian ones that have so much network congestion from porn dialiers and foreign software. Please refrain from using profanity.

We are gonna have prizes like USB memory sticks etc. Also we are going to an editorial in a few computer mags in Australia also. But other then that i hope the cheap rates $2 per hour, cheap food and cheap drinks might help attract the customers. |

*jumps into his car, turns the key for the starter, engages gears, and roars out into the street, rounds the corner, and throws his brakes on!
Dooh! You are overseas!
*slinks home, but decides to go trash picking. Thought about seeing if you can get "free" hardware out of dumpsters?
