Well the fact is of the matter the asians have a monopoly on the internet cafe market. This is one reason why i am opening one up myself. The majority are dirty and half of the attendants at them dont speak english.
Better customer serivce, cheaper prices and a better more enjoyable gaming enviroment and top notch games and clans, i'm hoping will make my net cafe do well. *crosses fingers*

maybe you can get sponsored by AMD?
get some game posters to fill the atmosphere... I don't know but also you could try to get a local software shop to sponsor some games or a least make a discount.....
If I had the money this would rock here where I live.... |

I thought about maybe getting into something like this myself, but I don't have any experience with Networking and the like to keep it running, or recover from a disaster...which scares me away from something like that. Also, finding a place that would have easy access for lot's of people that game would be difficult.
If you can't get a bunch of kids to pay per hour, and all they do is hang out at the place, it doesn't do you much good. Lot's of planning....I'd probably plan myself right out of the biz
Sounds cool though, it's the new Pool hall of the 21st century. |

Oh oh I have a PRO tip:
One of the main problem's in most lan cafe's is the lighting. No one wants glare. Most gamers I know prefer to game in the dark. Think about using directional lamps pointing at the ceilings or low ones pointing at the floor.
PS: check out the bunker. They where the best in brisbane until inferno came along. The bunker is still incredible propular but their computers arnt to grand.. http://www.thebunker.com.au

Well to address the glare we have natural flat CRT monitors, but the lighting will have to stay as it is, unless i put black floro tubes in instead of normal ones. |
