I'm thinking about doing it, but do you need any techinical skills to do this? If so, what skills? If anyone knows, or has been a beta before, please post. |

basically all you do is play the game online (since its only able to do that i the beta) then if something wrong happens like crashes you write a nice little ote to blizzard on what you were doing and what your system info is when it crashed

wow, it's nice to see someone actually STILL cares about warcraft 3... considering they started working on it back in like 1998... |

Serious 2k, good point. Games are getting so advanced now that there seems to be more development going into them than into operating systems.
How can they afford to do so much development when games are way cheaper than OSes and dont sell as many copies (I would think at least). This has turned into a business topic more than a techinical one, but if any body has any insight....great! Let's hear!
I will apply for beta. |

i think the amount of development time they've taken is ridiculous. neither starcraft or warcraft2 took this much time to develop and they're two of the most popular pc games ever. |

Personally with what I have seen from Blizzard their games are well worth the wait. |
