Network game!
You see, I finally got my 2 computers all set up and networked properly.
Both computers are pretty good:
Computer1:
ASUS mobo Deluxe (forget the model name)
AMD Barton 3000+
512 DDR Ram
100G HD
Radeon 9800 Pro
Computer2:
ASUS mobo Deluxe (same as above)
AMD 2500+
512 DDR Ram
80G HD
Radeon 9600 Pro
Now, what I wish to ask you fine people is what game(s) is the best to play with your friend on 2 computers set up in your apartment?
I know the basic cool ones are like Battlefield, Call of Duty, C&C Generals, etc.. But I'm not too knowledged on what other games are out there that people have a blast playing.
So, in conclusion, what game(s) should I look into getting for when my cousin comes to visit for a week, that we can play together on the 2 computers and just have a blast over.
Thank you for your future advise.

Btw, is that Asus a7n8x deluxe? http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/sock...d/overview.htm
Well it depends on what games your into, one i love is Unreal tournament 2003, and wolfenstein enemy territory or RTCW, while others may like counter strike or numerous other games or genre's of games.
Those are pretty good games you listed, however it is mainly what you guys are into.
Hope this helps.

You might like Jedi Academy. You can add bots in that one so having only two people might still be fun. Lots of people are having a good time with Need for Speed Underground.
It seem to me that first person shooters would get old fast with only two people. I just prefer a little more variety when I'm killing.
You might try a game like worms or maybe a flight sim like Crimson Skies (pretty user friendly). Jeordie is right though, it all depends on what you are into. |

I have a question related to Komi's. If he does purchase one of the suggested games, does he have to purchase two copies in order to play on both computers or can he just buy one copy and use it on both??? |

RAR, legally or practically?
legally he has to buy two of each game (kind of like buying a license for each computer you will use it on)
being practical, many games can be loaded on more than one computer, many dont check cd keys when only playing over a LAN, and if they do, any pirater can find cd keys or no cd patches etc....
EDIT I do not promote the use of illegal materials nor the use of illegal methods of playing... do anything at your own risk... |

Hey thanks guys,
I have NFS: Underground, but I didn't know you'd need an unofficial patch to play it on LAN.
To be honest, I copied it off my friend, and I used a key generator, and it works online just fine. I figured EA didn't have a key check this time.
Oh well |

to play nfsu multiplayer, it connects to EA servers only then hooks up the games.. meaning that if you wanted to play on both those comps, both would need to be hooked to the internet and go in the same race
with the patch (i posted info about it and where to get it somewhere, just do a search in the threads) you set one comp as a server and then use the client and type in the servers IP on both comps. then play as usual... basically what it does is make the game think that the server computer is actually one of EA's servers.... kinda cool really |

Hey Thanks Butch!
Actually, now that I think about it, Ravens Shield does the exact same thing.
I have one store bought copy, and when I try to play a LAN game on my 2 computers, one with a keygen, it still says the key is in use!
WOuld you happen to know of an unofficial patch to this as well? If it violates any TOS rules of this board, then maybe you could PM me the info.
Thanks again, really.
