| What does this icon mean?
When I start up Windows, this icon (my avatar) appears, and disappears whenever I move my mouse pointer over it.
What is it? What does it signify? |

Here's a bigger copy, not very sharp, I'm afraid..
You somehow added it to your desktop as a shortcut or something when you uploaded it.
I did that once, a long time ago, and forgot how I got it off.
System restore, I think..

Just a thought... Have you checked startup items to see if it's listed? Like msconfig or services, depending on which Windows version you're using? |

I cannot right-click it, because if I try, it disappears. The icon stays in the task bar as long as I don't move the mouse pointer away from the desktop to the taskbar.
It appears every time Windows loads, and now it has appeared on my other computer as well (a computer I'm much more afraid for, since it's a new one). |

In Run type 'msconfig' and there you can see the processes that start in the startup. Look for it there
