Toshiba Satellite laptop help!
I have a Toshiba Sattelite laptop and loaded Windows XP on it.. but the only thing is I want to install the extra drivers and utilities provided from Toshiba. I do not have the CD or manuals that came with it and I have no clue what model this sucker is.. it doesn't say it on the laptop at all! I can't believe it!!!
so arugh.. now I don't know what to download.
Is there a way I can find out what model of laptop I am working with? I tried looking in the bios but it doesn't say anything.. nor during startup either.

Hi there!
Go to:
http://ts.toshiba.com
and select your toshiba laptop modem to download the drivers/utilities.
To find your model number of your computer, look on the bottom of your laptop and there should be a toshiba label with the model on it.
If not,
try downloading SiSoft Sandra and look under the system info. It should list the model number / manufacturer.

I hope this helps, Paul

Dang, neither program told me what the model number of the computer is .... just info like motherboard and video etc... and there is no sticker on the bottom of the computer..just the serial number and Windows License info.

Um... Call toshiba. (go to the link that I provided above)
When you call toshiba, you give them your serial number for your laptop. They they should be able to identify what lappy you have

I think it's model 2805-S???
http://www.google.fi/search?q=geforc...oe=UTF-8&hl=en
The only http result from that is the 2805-S402 (which has a bit slower cpu clock, but otherwise seems similar)
Browsing the toshiba downloads, shows pretty much all 2805-S??? models have geforce2 go, so I would shoot for that
Where has your model# sticker gone?

Did you check the system information? I also have a Toshiba Satellite running on XP. I just looked this up for mines and it showed the model (Satellite 1800).
