Dell Order Problem - Need Advice!
So here is the story so far: My dad ordered a new laptop recently, and i had done the research. i configured it in my dell online account and sent him the username and password for the account and he ordered the laptop in my shopping car.
the problem is that i had originally entered my college address in the account profile, but changed the town and zipcode to check shipping and tax, but didn't change the street address. when my dad ordered the laptop he didn't double check the adress and so it was shipped to this non-existant address (i used mapquest to doublecheck that this address doesn't exist).
well we discovered this problem when i recieved the confirmation e-mail and have been frantically trying to get this fixed by calling dell...the problem is that dell farmed out their support to india and so on the rare occasion i got someone who could actually speak decent english he was a complete moron! out of over a dozen calls we couldn't get this fixed and the laptop shipped today.
we are going to call dell some more and as soon as we get the tracking number we are going to call UPS to see what we can do.
one potential problem is that the laptop was bought using my dell shopping cart account (for lack of a better term) and my dad's dell preferred account (the dell credit card).
what else can we do?

Call Home sales instead of general support. They may not be able to help you directly, but there is a much better chance you will talk to someone that at least speaks fluent English and can probably direct you call to another person in the US.

There are still Dell support crews in the US, though it is a nightmare trying to contact them if you are not a corporate customer.

Thanks GZ. So naturally the apartment that I want is the most expensive. But I figure it's a toss up, I can't really afford either of them.
