Has anyone been able to add new product items to USER-REVIEWS?

Just wondering. I submitted a couple of new reviews to products not listed and they've never been added into the categories that they belong to. You can add a new review to an existing product, but new product are not listed? Sysopt.com had this problem also and has led me to not even bother writing them up any more. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds odd, though I do know Scott and Mark are curently working extremely hard on a site improvement project that everyone should really enjoy. I'll drop Scott a line, see what he says.

I received an Email from Scott: this is what he had to say about the reviews section: "We're actually planning to expand the user reviews section soon - probably 2-4 weeks(or sooner if possible), to include software (ranging from OS's, to utilities, to games, etc). The reviews app needs to be tweaked a bit to support sub categories before that is done, though."

This was dated 12/8/01...so I'm sure they're still working on it, and as RobRich mentioned...they're doing a site re-design/project.

I think that new reviews doesn't appear quickly because Scott revises them! I remember I reviewed an Elsa GeForce2 MX card (511) and a Gigabyte Mobo (7ZX) and Scott sent me an email with a few "errors" that were in my reviews (he asked me to put the 511 on the elsa vid card review, and he asked why he couldn't see the 7ZX model in Gigabyte's website!).

So I think that is why they take long!!
I could be mistaken though!

We did have a bit of a backlog of user review submissions for the last few weeks. I went though about 30 and approved them yesterday. FYI the user reviews application is something I wrote from scratch in october - so any problems experienced with it don't relate to any software I created in the past.

FYI we are launching a whole new site design tomorrow and we've been very busy getting it done. Please don't hesitate to submit user reviews though, especially once the new design and features are up.
