Question
USB Questions
Im getting a iPod and it says USB 2.0 but i only have USB 1.1. can i use my USB or do i have to buy a new USB card?

you can use it but it will be a whole lot slower
usb 2.0 is backwards compatible
i believe 2.0 is something like 146 times faster than 1.1 (or some outrageous number like that)

I would get a USB2 controller, copying a few gig of music over a 12 megabit connection isnt going to be fun. For comparison USB2 is like 480 megabit.

i proably wont have enough $$ to get a USB 2.0. i only have about 500MB of music so it wont be too bad (start it, goto sleep, wakeup and ITS DONE)

You can go to Wal-Mart and get a nice Belkin 4 port 2.0 PCI card for under 30 dollars. Scrimp and scrape and save the money - it is quite worth it.
