what do you think?? should it last awhile?
I bought this system and added a few parts to it for my 11 year daughter. I am curious as do you think it will last her awhile as she doesn't do heavy gaming or anything, and it seems to be upgradable for future uses. She browses the internet for school (wireless router, usb port).
Soyo mid-tower CX-5959 Lan party case
enhaced windows keyboard
scrolling wheel mouse
high quality speakers
350 watt PSU
Soyo K7VME Via Socket A micro ATX (VIA KM400 chipset)
Athlon XP 2100
20 gig Maxter 5400 rpm ata100 HD
ATI 9000 Pro 128
256 mg Kingston DDR333
17" Dell moniter
Total of 180$ after rebates
I thought it was a good deal, purchased some stuff as a bundle and others seperate. Let me know what you think. I think it should be a good pc for a good while for her.

That's a great deal. Pretty hard to beat for the price. And for what she does, I think it should last for a good while.

yeah it's ddr333 but with a 400FSB the MB downgrades it to 266. Need a 533FSB cpu.

It should be a good computer for her. just keep an eye on the free space on the hard drive.

well, i don't think she downloads a whole lot, so it should be ok, I have been using (2) 13.5 gig drives for awhile now, never have filled em up...about half way or so on one of the drives, but that's about it....
