DVI and VGA with a KVM switch?

I have 2 computers.
2 diff vga cards.

1 has a dvi out and a vga out.
1 has a vga out only.

My monitor is a Samsung 213T which has a DVI and a VGA input.

I also control my computers through a KVM(which has VGA ins and outs).

I want to control both my computers through a KVM, using the DVI out from 1 card and the VGA out from another and connect them to the monitor(into the DVI input I guess?? )

Which KVM switch should I get?
Is this possible? And do I gain the benefits of the DVI over VGA by doing this?

I'll look to see if I can find out, but I am doubting it. It sounds like you have the ability to just use VGA on both and the monitor, if so then just do that.
