Updating Internet Explorer help
I have a machine that is older, running 98SE and currently is not accessable to the internet.
I would like to update IE to IE 6 on this machine. When I go to the MS site to do this it states that this is an online process or... you can purchase an IE 6 CD.
Is there anyway or site that will let me download and burn my own CD so that I can upgrade offline?

Just out of curiousity, how hard would it be to hook up the machine to the internet?

isp cds usually have ie6 on them if you look through the folders on the cd.

1) A big enough hastle that I would prefer the offline method if possible.
2) Unless I totally misunderstand the MS link you sent... this method is th online method. The site queries your explorer and then downloads and installs just the files necessary.
Would the IE 6 on an XP CD work or does this have to be an ISP's disk?

i always use the isp disk for this, so i don't really know about the xp one. it could cause problems. tell you what, i'll have a look at yousendit.com and see if i can send you a copy, if you want.
