    Monitor + TV setup?

    I am using the drivers that came with my nVidia GeForce 2 MX 400 (TV out) to have a monitor + TV setup.

    My TV is an old Philips that does not support s-video (aka s-vhs) so the image is b/w at the moment. But I heard there is a way to get colour even on such old TV's (i've also seen it done before at a friends house).

    Can anyone help me out?

    My TV is a PAL tv.

    If someone has experience in this, I would appreciate your help!

    Yeah you can use an utility called ToolTV.
    The same thing happenned to me and this was the only
    way I could fix it so that's why I recommend this utility to anyone
    using a GeForce card :P

    I have TVtool already, and I agree it works fine. But I would like to know if it works by playing around with the settings only.

    Yeah I think it should.
    Although, I did had a TV that wouldn't work in Color when not using SVid.
    So ... is your TV set old?

    Yeah it's like 15 years old, but the picture is still very clear and very good. So I would like to use it for movies.

    I used this information to create an adapter that converts the S-video output of my laptop to composite video for TV's that don't have S-video.
