There's an extention named Compact Menu. I believe you need that installed before you can remove the menu bar. |

All said and done, I like Opera. BTW, you can make opera's tabs disappear when only one tab is open like firefox does if you just right-click->customize toolbar and check the "show only when needed" box.
Another feature that's great is the fast-forward/rewind buttons. I turn off the forward/backward buttons comlpetely anyway as I always gesture, but ff and rw... man those things are handy. Especially on image galleries. Say you go to an image gallery like this one with lots of nice thumbnailed images (generated with Konq's image gallery tool under linux). You can just hit the fast forward button and it will go through them all, opened in their own window at full resolution, like a slideshow.
I think it says something when there are 3 competing browsers (Mozilla and descendants, IE, Konqueror/Safari) that are completely free and they can stay in business and even turn a profit with a pay product.

I personally like both, but I use Firefox predominately. Maily because I don't like the banner ad and Opera, I have found, is more resource intensive (both in RAM and HDD space). Other than that, both of them rock! |

That said, some options I won't ever get. Something like dynamic bookmarks or editing them within the main window. Something like flexibility.., all of them I can get now in Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. The most customizable web browser on Earth? ..
.. I just beat that. The most pricey? Yeasch. |
