| Question about the new FireFox browser
I am having an issues with the new FF browser. I would like for all links etc.. to open in tabbed browser and not into the taskbar. Anyone know where the setting is for this? Do i have to edit the source code? |

I usually right click on the link and select open in new tab. There must be a way for it to do it automatically, but i dont know it.

You a ext called single window 1.0 http://update.mozilla.org/extensions...x&id=50&vid=53
Once you install it, restart firefox and all new links form websites that normally open in new window opens in tabs.
Also try using your mouse scroll wheel to click a link, it should also open them in new tabs. |

Should IE be uninstalled once FF is working to my satisfaction?

I'd keep IE, it takes up little space....and you can use it when u need to.........might be problemmatical removing the thing anyway..........in the same way that removing MSN messenger causes slow startup with OE |

I still use IE sometimes b/c firefox has a memory issue, once you browse a few sites, the memory usage accumilates and is not released until you minimize the browser. |

OE doesnt startup slow with windows messenger removed if you disable the "connect on startup" feature in the options. |

I had a bad experience removing IE. I thought running windows without IE was a good idea, but MS thought otherwise. It really mucked things up and eventually ended in a full format and reinstall. Its necessary for updates anyhow. I just "pretend" its gone by taking away all its icons and stuff, and run it when I absolutely must. |
