if it is constantly slow then i'd say spwyare...but if it's just periodically slow...how many computers are at work....we just setup 20 computers at school and downloaded sp2.....we just about shut down our network so that they made an anouncement that the kids weren't allowed to use the network for bout 20 hours..which was how long it took em all to download. If there are a lot of people using your network at once..it is very possible that there is just so much traffic that the modem can't handle it. If you are the it guy think about asking to upgrade the internet plan...if not....think about scheduling your internet usage....do your internet stuff when less ppl are online and it'll be quicker..and then when it gets dog slow....do the rest of your stuff....also try firefox at www.mozilla.org if you are allowed to download stuff. |

Just a note. Try setting your cookies allowed to the highest setting and look how much spyware Yahoo places on your computer. Of course, you will want to change back because it blocks all the places where you want to have beneficial cookies. |

I'm impressed with the new beta MS spyware, but I say that with one eye brow raised. But it looks like MS is getting it together ,I would recommend anyone to download it.

Yes, I've tried that new MS spyware program on my home computer. It's a pretty neat program with LOTS of features.
Although, it didn't find some stuff that AdAware found... But then again, it's still in BETA, so you never know. But all-in-all, it seems solid so far. |

Much agreed...I really enjoy the fact that it catches a lot of spyware before it reaches its destination.
It's like, "hey spyware, where do you think you're going!?! I'm telling Mike so he can deal with you. HEY MIKE, LOOK AT THIS SPYWARE TRYING TO INFECT YOUR COMPUTER...WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT???" |

I have a nasty little problem with 2 emails in Outlook Express that I cannot delete. The second i highlight them my program freezes. My delete button is not working either, though I can delete the other emails with shift/delete. I ran Hijack This but as a newbie don't know where to post it for analysis, please help, madness approaches !!!!

uncletom...
Welcome to Techimo!
I suggest that you start another thread under "General Tech Discussions" you're kind of buried here.
Also, be sure to give us your operating system type, and the names of the files giving you trouble.

Your best bet is to just delete the entire INBOX.DBX file. Before you do, open and save important e-mails elsewhere - as .EML files. You can re-import them later.
