I'm in the process of building a PC and decided to just go with one stick of 512MB or two 256MB of RAM. I found three 512MB for around $50-60. The brands I'm choosing from are Kingston, MT, and SpecTek. What brand is best? If you know where I can find a better deal than $50-60 for RAM(new or used), let me know where. |

Go with Crucial. Very respected brand among the community. |

And look on ebay for 'Crucial 512MB', and also try 'Crucial 512 MB' (with the space after 512), and then sort it by "Buy It now" with Lowest prices showing first. I bought mine for 45(new too) +6 shipping (512mb), and put it in with my existing 256 crucial stick. Not one problem to date. and great performance. |

Take a look at Kingmax also. Newegg has a good price on a 512MB DDR433 module if you are into overclocking. |

ZeR0 ram man... I made this kicka$$ ram out of cardboard. Looks really cool! Only $5 for a 4 gb stick. I also have an 64 gig stick. Some of you may say thats not possible but its clearly written on with permanent marker. PM me if you wish to purchase. |

Yeah, ignore that screwball.
Corsair RAM is also very good. I don't know what you will be using it for, but I know that it doesn't help with your decision, but it's good to always throw something else in the stew. |

lol, gosh we need some humor here. Corsair XMS is great RAM. If you have the money and know quite a bit about optimizing your RAM's performance Kingston Hyper-X series rocks. |
