    Question Confused

     
    hey
    i am buying a new PC can you suggest me a nice configuration

    i hav an option between

    amd 2800 plus
    with asus a7n motherboard

    or intel 2.8 ht
    with intel orignal 865gl
    or with asus motherboard

    in a hurry so a quick reply will be appreciated

    Its a matter of taste. AMD generally performs better on games with the Intel better at encoding apps.

    What are you gonna use it for?

    my PC is to be used in hostel i m not of a gaming guy i just need to do my programming and browse lan net and some image editing softwares ...............

    a 2.8c pretty much outperforms a 2800+ in all categories. If its a 2.8b (kinda old so I doubt it), then they are about even. I'd go with the intel.

    I'd go with AMD, make sure you have good cooling either way, the higher MHz intel get pretty warm too

    AMD, I've been wanting to get my hands on one for awhile to test the difference from Intel chips for myself.
