hooking Laptop to TV

my laptop has a s-cable tv out put plug but my tv doesnt. I have managed to get a cable so that the dvds that i am playing on my computer are being heard but still i cant see them, On the TV there are RCA - Yellow and white wholes but no other kinds so please tell me how i connect my laptop to my tv so that i can actually see the picture.

I did this process at school thru the school video system which is quite complex - stuffed if i know how i did it but it was s-cables at both ends - which isnt the case - so please sendme info on how to do it and exactly what i will need to gt this working

Radio Shack?? They probably sell adapters, to go from s-video to RCA.

k so just a white/yellow RCA in the tv and then a s-cable into the laptop should do it then???

That is what i looked for today - but i live in japan and didnt actually see one and tried my best to ask the sales guy who didnt give me the right one...
