on the mobo side, the MSI board is tops w/the nF3 chipset. i'd pick that over the asus unless you specifically needed PATA raid.
on the cases:
i really like the lianli. you got 4 fans on that sucker - incl. 2 on the drive bays and very importantly, a top blowhole. the kingmax description lists 3 80mm fans but in the pics, i can only see 1...also no top blowhole. |

oh...on the PS:
avoid the Raidmax...weak 12v rails. no power specs on the w0022...probably similar to the w0014. unless you needed a dead-quiet machine or want glow-in the dark fans, i'd save the $20 and buy the w0014. |

thats what i was looking for. I was just leaning towards the kingwin b/c ive heard the lian li blocks the psu so if you get one that has any light it wont show...but thats not that big of a deal so ill probably go with the lian li |

I would definatley go with an MSI board over an ASUS board unless you are dead set on it. While it's been a while since I've built a computer, I've had 3 MSI boards and they have all done extremely well. Also good choice using www.newegg.com . They offer excellent service.
my two cents.
You know we expect pics when you get that thing assembled. Good luck! |

good choice.
i'm currently using a lianli pc7 on my main box - dual cpus, 4 hds, 2 cdrw/dvd drives, 1agp/5 pci cards inside it...no problems with heat and it's not noisy either (3 case fans). |

the 3.3v and 5v specs are plenty...18a on the 12v rail will cover you as well. |

480w of juice is enough in my book unless you plan on running something on the extreme side. If you plan on just modding the thing that would definatley be enough for lights and all. My first machine I put all kinds of lights and meters along with 2 hdd's, a CD drive, floppy and the extra Sound Blaster Audigy2. Not to mention the Mobo and processor and I've never had a problem with just the 200watts that PSU put out. |
