Black screen: no beep, no post, no bios
This is my old PC. After I tried to unplug the floppy drive and plugged in the floppy from another PC. It stopped working. I then put the original floppy drive back. It showed black screen since then.
When I turned on the pc, no screen at all, only blank screen. No beep, no post, no bios. Monitor and power cord are tested to be fine with another PC.
I then powered off the pc, took off the cables for floppy, harddrive and cdrom. Tried to power up again, still blank screen.
I couldn't find the CMOS jumpers. So I aslo tried to take out the CMOS battery for 30 minutes, out it back, powered up the pc, agian blank screen.
Please advice.

Both the fans of the power supply and the processor work. Does it mean that the power supply is in working condition?

It may indicate the PSU is good, but not always...the PSU can go bad, but still have output...at least enough to run fans...but maybe not..
Try this:
Go to the following website and read about the bad capacitors the motherboard manufacturers got suckered into buying...then look at the pictures at the bottom of the page.
http://home.earthlink.net/~doniteli/index27.htm
Look very closely at the capacitors on your motherboard..see if you can detect any dis-formation on the tops or sides. The tops are very flat and that 'X' you see on the tops are pressure release type valves. If you see any capacitors that are bulging up on top.. or the sides/bottom indicate they are shorted and killing the circuit(s) they are working in.
