Again, this stuff is stupid.
I wonder if the video card companies don't entice these 3DMark folks to come out with these benchmarks. I mean, morons will go out and buy a new card if they don't reach their desired score.

September 29th, 2004, 10:08 PM #31Actually the benchmark can't even run on his card. Can't run it on my spare machine (Rage Pro, Duron, etc) but I imagine with my 9800 Pro there will be no suprises.

One would think mine is a Pentium 2 by the way the videos ran (4 FPS).Stupid? Maybe, but its become more than a score. Sims 2, Doom 3, and HL@ are changing this. Besides....ths stuff is amazing....
Truth is, my system had no trouble with Doom3, and will have no trouble with HL2. This stuff is malarkey.

September 29th, 2004, 10:13 PM #33And what video card do you have?

Wow. My score really sucks.
Score: 1018
XP2100+ @ 2700+ (13x166mhz)
512mb of PC2700 (133mhz)
FX5900 NU 128mb
DOes anyone know why score sucks so much? Also, I couldn't run my RAM at 166mhz alongside with my FSB because 3dmark05 would restart my comp in the middle of the first CPU test when I had it set at 166mhz.

Does it matter, Bizzy? If you want to brag, you may as well get a whole new system.
You know as well as I, these really don't mean a thing. This benchmark may be valid a year from now.

Well it aint gona do me any good gona take 3 days to download the file and it aint worth it. Im on dialup at 2.5KBps

September 29th, 2004, 11:05 PM #38Why get it only to call it stupid and ridiculous? If you felt that way, dont even bother taking up bandwidth by downloading something you're against in the first place.

Hmm seems that the 5900's are not doing so well.
2500@3000
r9800np
512mb ram
80gig mxtr hdd
2012pts
Is the 9800 really better than the 5900? The real bingo has a faster processor and twice the ram and I beat him by 100%.

September 29th, 2004, 11:37 PM #40That's what it's geared toward, next generation games, not Doom3 and HL2, but games made in 2005 and 2006.This benchmark may be valid a year from now.
