    Again, this stuff is stupid.

    I wonder if the video card companies don't entice these 3DMark folks to come out with these benchmarks. I mean, morons will go out and buy a new card if they don't reach their desired score.

    Stupid? Maybe, but its become more than a score. Sims 2, Doom 3, and HL@ are changing this. Besides....ths stuff is amazing....

    Actually the benchmark can't even run on his card. Can't run it on my spare machine (Rage Pro, Duron, etc) but I imagine with my 9800 Pro there will be no suprises.

    What's amazing? Trying to display almost impossible renderings on an "average" system? People will think their computers are outdated. One would think mine is a Pentium 2 by the way the videos ran (4 FPS).

    Truth is, my system had no trouble with Doom3, and will have no trouble with HL2. This stuff is malarkey.

    Wow. My score really sucks.

    Score: 1018

    XP2100+ @ 2700+ (13x166mhz)
    512mb of PC2700 (133mhz)
    FX5900 NU 128mb

    DOes anyone know why score sucks so much? Also, I couldn't run my RAM at 166mhz alongside with my FSB because 3dmark05 would restart my comp in the middle of the first CPU test when I had it set at 166mhz.
    One by one the penguins steal my sanity.

    Is the 9800 really better than the 5900? The real bingo has a faster processor and twice the ram and I beat him by 100%.

    This benchmark may be valid a year from now.
    That's what it's geared toward, next generation games, not Doom3 and HL2, but games made in 2005 and 2006.
