just formatted my hard drive :( how to recover data?

For some reason Paulreed who has just joined this forum (welcome) is posting answers to questions that are years and years old.

PAUL, look at the dates. You are confusing matters and not helping when you dig up questions that are years old.

The offended hard drive probably long since landed in the trash by now!



We need to get someone to make a pop up warning when someone answers a thread over 90 days old or something!

When you delete data it dose not necessarily delete it. The data is just moved to be written over. That is why if you ever sell a computer or hard drive you use a program that writes random data over and over on the entire disk using a PRNG. (Pseudo random Noise Generator).
