Kaspersky.

So far it has found hundreds of viruses on my rig which I had for a month! Excellent program IMO, but it's not free, although I got it for 2 bucks

OK, I said too much

i dunno, ive never had problems with Norton. It gets most viruses except for the toughest ones, but only usually one at a time, and i can get those by hand.

Norton sucks, IMO Kaspersky is the best AVP that you have to pay for. A lot of people seem to like the free editon of AVG

Uhh common sense to not go on sites that could have viruses in them...
Anyway, get Adaware SE for sure, although it's not exactly anti-virus, but it's anti spyware... Also, I use Dr. Web (http://www.drweb.com/) but the download version is trial only so...
