Kaspersky.
So far it has found hundreds of viruses on my rig which I had for a month! Excellent program IMO, but it's not free, although I got it for 2 bucks

i dunno, ive never had problems with Norton. It gets most viruses except for the toughest ones, but only usually one at a time, and i can get those by hand. |

A lot of people seem to like the free editon of AVG  |

Anyway, get Adaware SE for sure, although it's not exactly anti-virus, but it's anti spyware... Also, I use Dr. Web (http://www.drweb.com/) but the download version is trial only so...
