dell optiplex: error code-failure reading diskette 0
I gave this dell optiplex to a friend of mine. I told him he would need a hard drive and more memory, I had it up and running not long before. It was running sitting on my bed (I hadn't figured out where to put it yet), when the hard drive crashed. Live and learn! Back to the point, he put another hard drive in and now the error code says failure reading diskette drive 0??? I took the a drive from another computer (that I know works), same message! Does this mean the hard drive he has is no good and the start up disk I gave him to load win98 is bad? If I remember correctly post was 2 short then 2 long.
Thanks
Oh and what is post a poll?

It is beyond my skill level and experience.
Post a poll means means that along with your thread you include a voting sytem much like voting for a new president. You can choose however many of voting options you want.Last edited by s4087046; November 8th, 2004 at 09:00 PM.
