AOL problem

i have someone who backed up her aol files before uninstalling 8.0 and then installing 9.0. She does not know where to put the backed up files and neither do I. Do you guys have any clue where these files are supposed to go?

Try a system search or try to backup the current ones and see where they go I know it sounds stupid but I do it with misplaced files all the time

sorry but i just cant see how that would work though but i guess i could give it a try though. But the backed up files went to a folder on the desktop called aol 8.0 backup or something like that. All i need to know is where these files go. She has Windows ME i hate Me. I know how to do it for XP but it is different for me.

one option would be to search for filenames of the backed up files. It will tell you where the 9.0 files that need to be overwritten by the backed up files are, other than that I'm out of ideas.
