    I sign up with what I thought was an email _____________@yahoo.com.... but since I'm from Canada it was automatically _______________@yahoo.ca

    Are they generally the same thing then, so now if someone were to try and get my email @ .com, could they? Since Yahoo, is sorta like user name based?

    No, another person shouldn't be able to use your username @Yahoo.com.
