Print Spooler
Good Day to All,
I seem to be having a problem with my Print Spooler. While installing my printer drivers that I recently downloaded from Lexmark, it stops me midway through installation saying I need to Start my Printer Spooler. I enter into Control Panel> Administrative Tools>Services, Double Click on Print Spooler and attempt to Start it and this is what I get:
"Could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer.
Error 1068: The dependancy service or group failed to start."
This seems odd as my Remote Procedure Call (RPC) is running. When I look at windows task manager>processes, spoolsv.exe cannot be found.
Any idea what I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried anything like replacing the print spooler file with a known good one? Maybe it somehow got modified or corrupted? Although this does not seem the likely cause of this problem.

Also at a command prompt if you do a sfc /scannow from the command promts that will make window scan the system files for changes and replace any files that are not the right ones.
